(Updated) Will There Be A Riot At The Eaton Centre Tonight At 6pm?

Update: There was no riot, I’ll share the video later…

There’s a demonstration planned at the Toronto Eaton Centre Mall at 6pm today, I’ve heard of a few occupiers who may be going- and, considering how 366 people have signed-up on the Facebook page, its likely there could be at least 100 people showing up.

This may be nothing, or this could be the story of the weekend. It looks innocent on the surface, and I imagine that most people going will have good intentions. Up until a few minutes ago, I had no reason to think it would be otherwise. However, I’ve discovered something new just a few minutes ago that shows there’s an opportunity it could get ugly…

Syed Hussan is one of the leaders of Toronto’s anarchist/Trotskyite group No One Is Illegal (NoII). This is an organization that has direct links to the violence at the G20. NoII’s leader in Vancouver, Harsha Walia, has publicly debated on behalf of using street violence using statements like “It’s not about smashing windows, but it is about smashing windows”.

Hussen post an article on the meditation event’s Facebook page promoting that people steal things today. Anarchists have been known to setup events where they can use the general public as human shields- it helps them get away after they’ve done their damage. This is exactly what happened at the G20.

This could be a very interesting afternoon- or not…

Is Hassan a Canadian citizen? He sure as hell wasn’t born here and this country would be better off if we could send him back to wherever he came from

    1. Wouldn’t the irony of his being deported be fantastic?

Syed Hussan is crazy! If people follow Hussan’s advice, they will harm innocent people by taking property from them just because they are angry at others! How can you justify harming innocents by “stealing indiscriminately”?!?! That’s bloody crazy!!!

    1. I’m not sure if he’s crazy – I’m guessing he knows exactly what he’s doing…

Though, it is my experience that the leaders and instigators never actually get their hand’s dirty.

The above video is what I think Syed would experience should he get arrested and try his lame rational on a judge.

    1. I wonder what was going on in his head when he did that. Was he intentionally trying to derail the event by encouraging people to steal? Was he trying to make the event look bad by poisoning it with this crap?

If the government sent someone in to hurt the activist movement- wouldn’t they do exactly what Syed just did? Personally, I couldn’t imagine anything more effective.

Or, is he just really slow and can’t figure these things out? Either way- scary…

I think Steal Something Day is a great idea, esp as it coincides with “Drag Some Dumb-ass B/Bloc Loser into a back alley and teach him the meaning of respecting other peoples property” day. After all, smacking a member of the Blac Bloc upside the head isn’t violence, it is a free education.

    1. Now, now – no threats of violence. All you are doing is giving them material to masturbate by….

Is it just my access to facebook, or was the post where he counsels people to commit criminal code violations, itself a criminal code violation, removed? I did not archive all of it, unfortunately, did you?

Well first of all, it is not a threat of violence, it is an offer of a free education, one which they apparently lacking. And secondly, when dealing with a mad dog that keeps biting you, you neither ignore it or get angry at it, you just pragmatically put it down, quickly, efffectively, without malice and as humanely as possible. And sooner or later (and I say this not as a threat but a prediction) the public will get tired of these mad dogs and their antics, and being arrested aka police brutality, will be the least of their worries.
