One of the best moments in Occupy Toronto’s history was on May 1st. About 30-40 Occupiers showed-up at Queen’s Park, behind the Ontario Legislature, and ‘peasfully’ planted a communal vegetable garden that day. The Toronto police were very well-restrained, they stood back quietly while Occupiers poured out the soil and planted the seeds. When it was finished, everyone began to celebrate- singing “Give Peas A Chance”.

Culture Jamming (At McDonalds…)
I’ve never seen a more inept nor insulting set of ads from McDonalds before. They’ve covered the city with posters with questions about the content and nutritional value of their food (if you can call it that). This one in-particular caught my attention…

If you have any doubt, look at what happens to society after a big disaster- looting, murders, rape. The events that happened after hurricane Katrina or the invasion of Iraq are great examples…

Open Letter To Gary Paterson Of The United Church- Please Help Us Stop Kevin Annett
Dear Mr. Paterson,
Back in 1996 the United Church disposed of a problem. Kevin Annett had been causing unrest and friction within your organization, he was bounced between churches until he finally left. I’ve read Kevin’s history, and can understand why he had to go- it appears he was not healthy, and his presence was not conducive to the environment one would expect in the United Church. The problem is, that he didn’t go away- to this day, Kevin is still out causing pain and division…
