UPDATE: Jeremy Oliver claims that he wasn’t the person who tried to suppress the video of what happened Saturday, and was referring to another video that called him out on making a false claim of police violence. Considering his history of making false claims, I leave it to my readers to decide…

After 80 hours of laughs, yawns, racist hate and pirated Hollywood movies- the Occupy Toronto Livestream fundraiser is now complete. The Occupiers cleaned-up behind themselves and it left their corner of Ryerson University’s Lake Devo as it was when they arrived. Except, with the exception that there was a giant ashtray left behind that seems rather out of place (where did it come from?).

Ryerson University was notified about the incident only moments after it occured, and it was explained to them how Livestreamer Billy was talking about killing white people. Security said they could do nothing about it, so the issue was escalated to Ryerson’s media liasons and copied to the president by email.

UPDATE 2: Billy has made an apology today, said it was a moment of weakness. But, looking into his Twitter feed, he seems to have an ongoing theme of anti-Semiticism, and homophobia…

A group of people from Occupy Toronto setup camp on campus at Ryerson University this weekend and have been using the school’s power and network to live broadcast an 80 hour fundraiser over Livestream. Yesterday they interviewed a well known con artist whose been hurting indigenous communities across the country. That was bad enough- but, on Saturday, things got much worse.

At about 2:45 Saturday afternoon the Livestream camera was handed to a young indigenous man named Billy who says he comes from near the Conawapa Dam in Manitoba. The beginning of his appearance (with Crystal Sinclair of Idle No More Toronto) was unremarkable, typical banter. He later switched to a monologue, blasting violent, racist and anti-Semitic anger into the camera. The highlights included talking about killing CSIS & RCMP Agents, killing white people, and Holocaust denial.

Occupy Toronto Promotes Indigenous Abusing Con-Artist (feat. Kevin Annett, Carrie Lester & Judy Rebick)

It’s widely known that the remaining hangers-on at Occupy Toronto are a clueless bunch, as I described them yesterday, they’re a lot like the Japanese soldiers who were found hiding away a couple decades after WWII who didn’t know that the war was over. If you’ve ever wondered how stupid (or corrupt) OT’s remaining members are, today’s story will make that very clear.

Today the people running the Occupy Toronto Livestream (dodgy) fundraiser had a ‘special’ guest on their show- Kevin Annett, a widely exposed con-artist who’s famous for his widespread abuse of indigenous people across the country. Adding insult to injury, his appearance came just before a leader of Idle No More Toronto gave them a cash donation.

And, curiously, all this happened on the campus of Ryerson University- a school with three professors who have been burned by their connection to Annett. One of them, Judy Rebick, is scheduled to speak on the OT’s fundraiser this weekend…

UPDATE: Captain Yarr has announced that Ryerson University professor (and anarchist supporter) Judy Rebick will be joining on Saturday or Sunday to support his cop-baiting Livestream!

UPDATE 2: I’ve been told that it wasn’t the wireless stick that was stolen at Zach Ruiter’s protest, but ‘something else’. What it was has not been disclosed- supposedly, it has now been returned. However, this conflicts with what Captain Yarr has said himself…

UPDATE 3: The Livestreamers have announced they’re going to have Kevin Annett on their show today. Annett is a well-known con artist who has caused enormous pain for indigenous communities. Judy Rebick previously promoted him.

If you’re a regular reader you may remember Captain Yarr (a.k.a. Dee Shangar), one of the few remaining people who still identifies himself as Occupy Toronto. Yarr’s first appearance on this site was during Activistocrat Sakura Saunder’s anti Barrick Gold Israel protest that turned into a cop-baiting rally. During the rally Yarr started trying to push his way through police lines crying “I am media!” and complaining about “police brutality” when the cop (gently) stopped him from crossing the line. He behaved the same way during the Zach Ruiter/Cheri DiNovo racist anti-police march, crying “I’m media” while trying to push through some cops and walk down a busy street.

Up until recently, Yarr led Occupy Toronto’s Livestream, broadcasting live video of various radical events around the city. But, then, on June 13th, someone stole Occupy Toronto’s USB Internet stick- Captain Yarr has lost his ‘media pass’. Since then OT’s Livestream service has mostly been off the air. In an effort to reclaim his ‘media’ status, Captain Yarr, and a few remaining stragglers, have launched a (misleading) fundraiser today….
