I’ve just come back from Toronto’s casseroles march tonight- it was a beautiful evening for it, lovely weather. I Ieft early, at about 8:30- there were only about 125-150 people there at the time. This is a far-cry from the 600 who turned-up last week, and the 3,000 who showed-up the week before. It seems to me that the people of Toronto aren’t that enthusiastic about having a Marxist revolution.

Peter Tupper: Shilin' it for the DTES povertarians...
There are two ways I know when a story has been successful. First, I am blessed with 1000’s of hits from you, my dear readers. The second way is when I see someone publishing an article to counter my writing- this happened recently when ScoutMagazine.ca ran a story that included criticism about when I wrote about Irwin Oostinde running sadomasochist club nights at the W2 Media Cafe.
Both of these incidents occurred again over the past three days with my story about VANDU, Vancouver Coastal Health & Vancouver Cop Watch…

You’ve probably heard by now that David Eby is busy trying to establish a foothold for the BC Civil Liberties Association (BCCLA) up north. I first heard of this when I published my story Civil Liberties Czar Endures Cheap Airport Wine! Obviously, this man is no saint. (regardless that Lorraine “Raincoaster” Murphy thinks he is @MotherTheresaBC)

Our good friends at the Ontario Public Service Employees Union are at it again! Continuing on their ‘at all costs’ battle to win their contract negotiations, they are refusing to give up on their inhumane pursuit to get approval for using martial arts equipment against autistic children!

Harsha & Harjap During the G20 Violence In Toronto
In a private member’s bill put to vote last week the Conservative government repealed the notorious Section 13 of Canada’s Human Rights Act. Section 13 banned communicating over telephone or the Internet of “any matter that is likely to expose a person or persons to hatred or contempt.” It allowed for communicating truthful information- but people who made pure hate speech were liable to fines of up to $10,000 and damages of up to $20,000.
This must have provided a collective sigh of relief for members of Canada’s Marxist left- racial and gender based hate speech are one of their most cherished tools for repression…
